personal
design
To
be given the opportunity to design a garden, be
it large or small, utilising our proven design
skills , gives us the opportunity to develop a
personal relationship with you the client through
which your aims and goals for your garden can
be achieved.
Our experience enables us to convert what may
appear to be shortcomings in your site into unique
new possibilities. An overall design will ensure
that the end result, whether the works are carried
out at one time or in stages, achieves an effect
which will enhance the value of your property,
sympathetic to its location and within your chosen
budget.
From our proven experience as 'hands on' landscape
contractors you are advantaged by our ability
to reflect in the design process the practical
considerations involved in construction and to
maximise the design in the most cost effective
way.
Whether you opt for our Personal
Design Service or our Postal Design Service
you are now able to make the critical choice of
how you will bring your design to life whether
it be by utilising our
construction
services, construction
by a local contractor or self building.
The Personal Design Process
step 1
initial site
meeting
We
shall meet with you on site, familiarise ourselves
with the existing layout, show you our portfolio
and materials imagery and complete a detailed
project questionnaire enabling
us to determine what uses you would like to put
your garden to, your operational budget, any particular
features you would like to be included in the
design and generally discuss your requirements
and ideas.
step
2
site survey
Having
chosen the design package best
suited to your needs
we shall carry out a detailed survey
of your existing site and acquire the necessary
photographs. (Where the garden
is very large and / or includes very complex changes
in levels the site survey may require to be undertaken
by a Professional Surveyor which we can arrange
at separate cost.)
We shall then prepare a client brief which we
shall send to you for approval, detailing the
essential requirements of your project. We shall
prepare a sketch plan of your
existing garden.
step
3
preparation
of master plan
We
shall prepare the master plan
showing the outline of the garden, the hard and
soft landscaping with photographic illustration
and any special features such as lighting, water
features, garden ornamentation etc. Where requested
we shall also prepare a planting plan
detailing the species of plants, their positioning,
spacing and estimate of cost.
step
4
presentation
of design package
At
a further site meeting we shall present and discuss
your chosen design package providing you with
an estimate of the cost of its implementation.
